their wedding took place on 23 december, just before christmas — a date that naturally brings warmth, candlelight, and a hint of nostalgia. the morning started quietly in hulste, where axelle, her mother and laurence got ready, with lauren bracke bringing her signature calm and elegance to the make-up. soft music, winter light through the windows and the serenity of a december morning shaped the atmosphere. her fur wrap, pearl earrings and deep-red bouquet set the tone for their winter theme.

late morning came the moment suprême — an intimate first moment together that carried a calm, elegant energy. afterwards, we stepped outside for their couple shoot. fresh air, muted winter colours, and a sky that made every detail of their christmas-inspired palette stand out.

in the early afternoon, their ceremonial cars left for sint-bavo church in sint-baafs-vijve. family and friends waited at the entrance, the church subtly decorated in greens and reds — a quiet nod to the season. their ceremony ran until just after three, filled with tradition, emotion and small glances that said more than words.

after the church, everyone made their way to hoeve etienne, where the last daylight touched the courtyard. families lined up to welcome axelle & maxime — a beautifully coordinated moment that still felt natural and warm.
